Program

Project Overview:

The Girls and Women Opportunities and Needs Delivered through Education Reach (GWONDER) project targets teenage mothers who dropped out of school, providing them with a second chance to realize their dreams.

The project comprises three main sections:

1. Advocacy and community sensitization on reproductive health
2. Education scholarships
3. Livelihoods opportunities and training

Beneficiaries of the project are given the freedom to choose between returning to school through academic scholarships or pursuing entrepreneurship to support themselves and their children.

The organization has conducted several community sensitization forums in Mathare to educate the community on reproductive health and girl child upbringing.

Currently, the project has a total of 39 beneficiaries, with 36 teenage mothers undergoing livelihoods training and 3 receiving academic scholarships and returning to school.
